IMPORTANT NOTE:WE ARE NOT ACTUALLY LOCATED IN QUEENSTOWN, NZ. WE LIVE IN ALEXANDRA WHICH IS AN HOURS DRIVE FROM QUEENSTOWN. CHECK GOOGLE MAPS.Sorry to Cap-Attack everyone but this website didn't have the option for our town in the location drop down menu so we had to pick the closest place.We have a Tidy spare room with its own en-suite to rent to 1-2 people max on a short term room share basis up to 6 months over summer. We're primarily looking for short term seasonal or professional workers but we may consider other situations. Individuals, friends or couples welcome. Please note our asking rent is $540 per person per month (roughly $125ea per week). This price includes all of your Utilities so Internet&phone, power and water is covered in the rent - food to be purchased individually.Please note before we agree to anything, where possible we would like to meet and get to know you before we rent out our room to you.
You will be sharing the house and amenities with us and our dog, Archie. With the possibility of an extra person to share your room depending on your situation e.g individual, couple etc. Beds will be provided in the configuration request.Now more about the house and the room!We are in Alexandra, which is a 1 hour drive from Queenstown and Wanaka, New Zealands biggest tourism hotspots. Alexandra is a hub for seasonal fruit picking work so many foreigners flock here to find work on the local orchards. For anyone who's into multi-day scenic bike trips Alexandra is home to the well known Central Otago Rail Trail. Bikers come from all over the world to ride this historical route.Our house is very private, it is surrounded by lots of trees and a lovely lush garden. We are excellently located in central Alexandra, 1 block from the Super Market and 2 blocks from Seasonal Solutions - an organization that helps foreigners find seasonal work. On street parking is available.A tidy and comfy room. The en-suite includes a shub and toilet. The room and its amenities are private with its own outside access via lockable door, internal access is connected to the kitchen, great for those midnight snacks :-). No having to pass through living areas to move to and from the bathroom or outdoors, Ideal if you like your own privacy...That being said we'd still like to hang out with our new found flatmates in our lush garden or comfy living area with fireplace to boot :-).A bit about us.
We are non smokers so sorry to those who smoke. Carolin (Caz) is a Graphic Designer, Archie is a freeloading fuzzball with a huge smile and me (Mark) am an IT geek by trade. We're a quiet but fun going bunch, we do a bit of Tramping, like to garden, Caz enjoys a good read and Markmountain bikes and play's Ice Hockey in the Winter, he also does landscape Photography when he gets time. Together we enjoy watching movies and having a couple of quiet drinks in the weekends.
